Rio Azul Latin Boutique - Latin American Clothing

Okay girls, if you love the senorita look, you must visit Rio Azul, a ladies Latin American clothing store. I bought 4 - 5 dresses from this store alone this summer. They have nice styles and for those who like to be a little more dare devil with bright colours and patterns, they have fashion where it is done very tastefully. This place is a hidden gem as dresses are between $50-$80, really inexpensive.

I hope they have a website soon.

Mexican Sandwiches - Las Tortas

Mexican sandwiches now available in Vancouver BC Canada at La Tortas 3353 Cambie Street. I came across this the other day when I was walking down cambie. The sandwiches had a ton of filling and the prices started at about $6.00. From what I could tell, they looked like regular sandwiches, but who knows the sandwich flavour could be to die for.

If you beat me to trying it out, provide me with your comments here.

Jelly Shoes (Made in Brazil)

I don't know about the rest 1 of you out there, but I have been looking for flat shoes that are water resistant, but yet look professional for work for a long time and now I have found them.

On my trip to Brazil last month, I discovered this company called Jelly. They have very nice trendy plastic flat shoes that are water resistant but yet look professional. These babies are going to last me a long time. These are actually a beauty compared to those Aldo ones.

Mondays at Pinky's - 50% off all food

Mondays at Pinky's- 50% off all food

Yes, I mean all food. The lineups can be crazy, but it is easy to pass time with all the shopping and the beach of course near west 4th avenue.

Mondays are definitely a good deal in comparison to their regular prices for the quality and portion of food.

Enjoy!

Hidden Mexican Restaurant Dive on Dunbar

There is a great hidden Mexican Dive on Dunbar Street. It is called Mexicali Restaurant. The ironic part is it does not seem to be owned by Mexicans. Not the fanciest looking place, but great food.

The prices are cheap and unbelievable. For example:

2 soft tacos
+lime slush/pop
= $6.00

You can lunch or dinner under $10.00.

I go there at least once a week, yummy to my tummy :)
